Here’s a fun challenge that I never ever win at: Walking through Target’s hair care products section and trying not to pick up one thing and buy it. I lose. Every single time. After all, how can you blame me? I feel like every woman has had the same issue.
The Target beauty section is like a theme park for women, with so many different products all displayed so delicately now with their new beauty department designs.
The selection is endless – salon-quality hair care or just shelf upon shelf of cool looking labels that make big promises to me about everything I want.
You know, like getting rid of hair frizz or making my colored hair feel a little bit less like the consistency of hay.
11 Totally Luxury Hair Care Products at Target
Here are some of my absolute favs in the Target hair care section. These products are affordable, I mean come on, they’re at Target. But they also make you feel like your bathroom, or wherever you get ready, is a salon because they’ve got the luxury vibe too.
For General Care and Styling
I honestly liked this brand at first for the uber shallow reason that the packaging looked cool. But, it does deliver. Hair biology’s full line at Target is totally worth a try, from shampoos and conditioners to masks and hair spray.
This stuff is pretty great. I’m always a fan of hair care products that actually do what they say they are going to do, and this can’t be more true of these John Freida anti-frizz products. They deliver time and time again and are very low cost.
For Specific Hair Types
I am always buying special shampoo for color treated hair, but the few times I’ve deviated from that path, I’ve done so with OGX products. They have an especially good oil of morocco that I’ve talked about before. This stuff will work wonders for locking moisture in your hair. OGX also makes specialty shampoos for different hair types ranging from curly to thick or very dry. It’s good stuff.
For Color-Treated Hair
This stuff is really a solid shampoo if you have colored hair. It costs more than many others, but it has special additives specifically good for blonde hair and a little goes a very long way with this stuff. This is a nice happy medium if you don’t want to pay high salon prices for shampoo, but you color your hair enough that you do need a high-quality color treatment shampoo to maintain your hair’s strength.
Again, there’s a ton of styling products to explore at Target which is part of the fun part. This hair dryer and straightener, though, are must have’s to add to your collection.
For Hair Growth
Last but not least, for those of us looking for a little assistance for luscious locks, Target actually does have quite an array of hair growth products as well as supplements. I can’t say that I’ve taken Olly myself – as my hair does have it’s flaw – but thinning isn’t one of them. But honestly, I’ve considered buying these just for myself before from the Target hair care products section. The vitamins look healthy and like it could only help build my hair more than anything.
